LYDFORD STATION STABLES SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIPS

Points will be awarded to all combinations placed 1st to 8th at any of our shows from 1st April 2010 to 30th September 2010. The combination with the most points in each category will receive an award.

We will also be giving a special award to the Veteran Horse (16 years and over) gaining the most points, Super Veteran Horse (25 years and over), the Junior Rider (16 years and under) gaining the most points and the Senior Rider (50 years and over - age must be declared on entry forms!) gaining the most points.

LYDFORD STATION STABLES SUMMER DRESSAGE CHAMPIONSHIPS

We will be holding 5 qualifying rounds with the first 2 places not already qualified in each class at each round going forward to the final in September. We will also be awarding an Accumulative Score Trophy to the combination gaining the highest number of points throughout the series, as well as a special award for the Best Junior Rider (16 years and under) and Best Veteran Horse (15 years and over) throughout the series. Open to horse/pony and rider/handler combinations who have not won £10 in a class of an equivalent category since 1/1/2010.

Ideal for novice and nervous horses/ponies and riders/handlers. First-timers welcome.

Bring your youngstock for a quiet outing. Stallions welcome.

Rosettes to 6th place in all classes.

Saturday 7th august     Summer Dressage League - Round 5                   

This will be the last of 5 qualifying rounds with the finals being held in September.

We will also be awarding an Accumulative Score Trophy to the combination gaining the highest number of points throughout the series, as well as a special award for the Best Junior Rider (16 years and under) and Best Veteran Horse (15 years and over) throughout the summer.

£4.00 per test. All tests may be called. Rosettes to 6th place.

All tests to be ridden in a snaffle bridle.

Trot work may be executed either 'sitting' or 'rising' at the discretion of the rider.

We have accommodation available for this weekend. Onsite we have stabling and turnout and room for coralling. We will be able to cater for campers (tents or caravans) or anyone who wishes to stay in their lorry or trailer. We also have very good B&Bs and self-catering accommodation nearby, and we could drop you off and pick you up the next day.

PLEASE REMEMBER HORSE RIDING IS A RISK SPORT

Rules & conditions of entry:

• Hats to current BHS standards must be worn at all times when mounted with the chin strap done up.
• The organisers do not accept responsibility for any accident, loss or damage to any person, horse or property howsoever caused. It is recommended that all competitors hold their own third party insurance.
• The judge's decision is final.
• Any complaint must be handed to the secretary in writing on the day of the show along with a deposit of £10 which will be returned if the complaint is upheld.
• All competitors and spectators attend at their own risk.
• All vehicles parked at their owner's risk.
• Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
• Any horse or pony that kicks must wear a red ribbon in its tail.
• All ridden horses or ponies must be 4 years old or over.
