Lydford Station Junior Riders (LSJR)

Membership will be £25 a year - a full 12 months.

The benefits of membership are:

We are hoping to become a Pony Club Centre in the future.

Rallies will be held in the school holidays - check below for dates or get our latest newsletter. These will be geared up to working for awards and achievement rosettes. They will usually run from 10am - 1pm.

We aim to organise trips to major competitions, such as Badminton, HOYS and Olympia, as well as to places of interest, such as studs, saddle makers, ets. Any suggestions are welcomed.

We will have LSJR members only competitions with a league running throughout the year. These will include dressage, jumping, showing, gymkhana, cross country and maybe a few other disciplines too!

Dates of Rallies to be held during the summer holidays

These will run from 10am to 1pm. £20 per child

• Arrival at 10am and allocation of ponies
• 10.30am - Turnout inspection
• 10.45am - First lesson - stable management or riding
• 12 noon - Second lesson - stable management or riding
• 1pm - Finish

18th August - taking bookings

26th August - taking bookings

We will offer more dates if these are popular.

PLEASE REMEMBER HORSE RIDING IS A RISK SPORT

Rules & conditions of entry:

• Hats to current BHS standards must be worn at all times when mounted with the chin strap done up.
• The organisers do not accept responsibility for any accident, loss or damage to any person, horse or property howsoever caused. It is recommended that all competitors hold their own third party insurance.
• The judge's decision is final.
• Any complaint must be handed to the secretary in writing on the day of the show along with a deposit of £10 which will be returned if the complaint is upheld.
• All competitors and spectators attend at their own risk.
• All vehicles parked at their owner's risk.
• Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
• Any horse or pony that kicks must wear a red ribbon in its tail.
• All ridden horses or ponies must be 4 years old or over.
